Bereavement Services
The death of one of our children is never anything we can ever accept. It is inconceivable that a parent should have to bury their child, but unfortunately, we live in a world where children die. Embrace Kids Foundation is committed to creating a place of healing and hope where parents and surviving siblings can journey together through this maze called “grief”. The feelings of being “stuck” and feeling out of place in the world is completely common to bereaved families. It is not uncommon for bereaved families to feel out-of-touch with the very supports they have always relied upon for help only to find it is not enough. Recognizing the unique and specific needs of a bereaved parent and sibling is what our bereavement program understands. Our bereavement program offers programs that are designed to meet needs for the entire family; an on-going parental support group, short-term counseling for bereaved children, adolescents and their parents, and sibling support resources.
