Testimonials from Our Patient Families
Daija
My daughter Daija has sickle cell disease. For the last seven years, she has been fortunate to have the most knowledgeable and experienced team of physicians and support staff providing her with quality treatment. Additionally, we have the support of the Embrace Kids Foundation.
The warm, loving and family-friendly atmosphere the foundation provides at the clinic has, from the very beginning, eased Daija's fears and diminished her anxieties about treatment. It is so much easier to feel comfortable when being cared for by family; and family is what we consider Embrace Kids.
We share smiles, support, and services, but most of all, we share a successful partnership dedicated to improving the quality of life of my daughter and children like her who have been diagnosed with a chronic life-threatening condition.
Through the various Embrace Kids events, Halloween Party, Thanksgiving Dinner, Holiday Party, Dance Marathon, the Adopt-A-Family Program and Sickle Cell Education Night, we have made many new friends. At these events Daija forgets about her illness and is just a normal kid. We are so appreciative of all the opportunities provided by Embrace Kids; particularly to connect and communicate with other sickle cell families and build a network of support.
I have the utmost confidence in the dedicated professionals at Embrace Kids who provide care and support not only to my daughter but to our entire family. I am excited about the new sickle cell program, Embrace a Kid with Sickle Cell, because I know it will allow even more families to access the many programs and support services from which we have benefited, time and time again.
