Back on July 27, 2009, I was told that my daughter Casey has acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This was the day that my whole world began to change, and for Casey, the end of the world. “Cancer” was now going to become a common word in our home, and so was Embrace Kids Foundation.
As we began our journey back and forth to the hospital for clinic visits, treatments and surgery, Embrace Kids Foundation was there. The foundation’s generous gift of an art set has caused Casey to become interested in drawing. Thank you for the Rutgers basketball tickets and also for the Christmas gifts. The gift cards (for food and gas) will get us through the holidays. I needed to take a leave from my job as a hairdresser to be with Casey. I didn’t think Christmas would come to our home, but again, you made this possible. Thank you for making such a bad part of our lives so beautiful.
