After receiving the worst news we could ever imagine in May, 2010, watching our son suffer through painful procedures, being up for 24 hours and crying more than we ever have in our lives, we met Randi from Embrace Kids Foundation at the Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson. She came into our son’s hospital room with a “bag of care” and a big smile. She actually gave us some hope that we wouldn’t be alone as we traveled down this unknown road. From that day on, our son Brian was taken under the Embrace Kids’ wing along with the rest of our family. My son has been able to experience so many wonderful things which have helped take his mind off his disease, i.e. Rutgers Football games, bowling with NFL stars, Rutgers Dance Marathon, Embrace Kids Holiday Party, Evening for the Kids, etc. Embrace Kids Foundation and Randi have always made him feel special and loved which is a great feeling. During our hospital stays, Randi was always there to offer support, both emotional and financial. We truly cannot thank you all enough for what you have done for our son, our family and all the other families you have touched. We will always continue to support Embrace Kids Foundation as you have left a permanent footprint on our hearts!!
